Slab Leak Repair

A slab leak is a break in a water line beneath a concrete foundation. Because the pipe is buried under the home, damage can continue for weeks before it becomes obvious. Over time, water that escapes can erode soil, crack flooring, and increase utility costs.

Landry Mechanical Inc., Plumbing, HVAC & Electric provides professional slab leak repair using precise detection methods and controlled repair techniques. Our goal is simple: find the leak quickly, fix it correctly, and protect your home’s structure.

If you suspect a hidden leak, schedule a repair visit online or call our team for an inspection.

Signs of a Leak Beneath the Foundation

Pipes under a slab rarely fail without warning. Small changes inside the home often point to a larger issue below the surface.

Changes in Water Pressure or Warm Floor Areas

A sudden drop in pressure throughout the house can signal a damaged main line. If a hot-water pipe is compromised, certain sections of the flooring may feel unusually warm.

Sound of Running Water

Hearing water movement when fixtures are off is a strong indicator of a sub-surface break. A faint hissing or steady flow noise may travel through the floor.

Cracks or Persistent Dampness

Moisture along floor seams, baseboards, or walls can indicate water migrating upward. In advanced cases, foundation cracks or lifted flooring may develop as soil beneath the slab shifts.

Our Slab Leak Repair Process

Repairing a pipe beneath concrete requires planning and accuracy. We focus on locating the exact failure point and resolving it with minimal disruption.

Leak Detection

We use acoustic listening equipment and thermal imaging to locate hidden leaks without unnecessary demolition. Once identified, we outline the repair options clearly before any work begins.

Direct Pipe Repair

If the damaged section is isolated, we access the area, remove the compromised pipe, and install durable replacement materials designed for underground use. The system is then pressure-tested to confirm the issue is resolved.

Pipe Rerouting

If multiple sections show wear or corrosion, rerouting may be the better long-term solution. A new line is installed along a safer, more accessible path, reducing the risk of future slab access.

After repairs, we can evaluate visible plumbing components to ensure the system is operating properly as a whole.

The repair team were amazing. They were quick to reply back to us, very thorough, explained exactly what went wrong and how it can be fixed. Even after finding an additional issue that required another member of their to team come, they provided the proper information between each other to make sure they could get replacement parts needed, so no time was wasted. Would highly recommend.

Matt and assistant were very friendly and easy going and let me know right away what the price was and got started on the job right away. They quickly fixed my sump pump leak which was what I wanted and afterwards showed me what was done and assured me that the sump pump was turned back on after they had to temporarily shut it down and let me know it already had 3 sump pump cycles and Matt told me about some other recent sump pump stories which I found interesting - all in all I wouldn't call any other company to fix my plumbing as Landry is my plumber in Worcester as they came last Fall right after I first moved into my new house and rescued and saved me when I went to do my first load of laundry and I turned on the clothes washer and water was spraying out all over the basement floor as the connection was just hand-tightened and I was so tired of everything being so new and I was so clueless and the Landry guy was so understanding and comforting that I immediately added their phone number into my smart cell phone and said well that's my forever plumber in Worcester ! And they still are ! I wouldn't trust anyone else only Landry is who I would call - they are the BEST !

Corey Menard is a STELLAR human being as well as an EXPERT HVAC technician! He cheerfully and swiftly diagnosed an in-wall heating pipe burst, repaired it, and added a much-needed shut-off valve for one of my (three) heating zones. My English language dictionary does NOT contain the words I need to express my gratitude toward him, or express my gratitude to Landry for sending Corey to my home on Wednesday 02/11/2026. Thank Corey, thank you, and thank Corey!

We had a great experience with Landry Mechanical. Unfortunately we had on going issues with our 1.5 year old furnace that was installed by another company. Once we hired Landry they took the problems we were having on as their own. Colin and Joe were absolute gentleman. They took their time to explain stuff to me and did great work. The pricing was reasonable considering it was the middle of February and they worked with me where they could. I’d highly recommend them.

Louis was able diagnose and clearly explain the gas boiler system we had installed by Landry Mechanical (10/2019) He explained our high pressure water from the street could damage our pipes and pressure valves throughout the home. With his recommendations It would help extend the life of our system. He completed the work today with the professionalism I have experienced from other Landry Mechanical technitions.
